About the Research Programme
Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2000.The Chemistry department serves the purpose of imparting knowledge in the core science subject, which is a foundational building block for most engineering disciplines.
Department of Chemistry is a recognized research centre of Anna University. It offers both part time and full time Ph.D in a various specializations like Environmental Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Nanocomposites, Physical and Organic chemistry. Well qualified and motivated recognized research supervisors are available to guide the scholars. The research centre is well-known for its quality publications in various high-impact international journals. Currently 6 Ph.Ds are available among 14 Faculty members.
