About the Research Programme

Department of physics was established in the year 2000. The department has been working towards fulfilling its mission through a synergistic combination of teaching learning process and research. The mission of the department is to contribute to the training of a wide spectrum of students of engineering and technology by offering relevant curriculum inputs related to engineering physics, research and development. It has grown steadily in the past decade in faculty strength, infrastructure and research.

A team of extremely capable faculty members with 4 Ph.D’s and 5 faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D’s in reputed Universities in Tamil Nadu.

 The faculty is well qualified and motivated with a strong commitment to teaching and research which is reflected on producing good result in Engineering Physics and Material Science in  I year Engineering and also publishing original research papers in national and international journals.
